Poster Processing service or PP-service — is a separate microservice for image processing before giving to client applications.
What a service does:
- on the fly, convert the image size by replacing the Smarty domain with the PP service domain — this allows you to give lighter pictures to weak devices and pictures in the original size to all others;
- on the fly, generate images of QR codes from specified links, for example, this is already used in the Titanium template to show a QR code on the LC:
- on the fly, generate images with QR codes on a given format mask: take a picture and paste the QR code of the specified reference of the specified size on the specified coordinates, for example, of this format:
- on the fly, generate an hls stream with a similar image for the possibility of installing it as an url in the player.
