Smarty is not middleware in the classical sense, but a full-fledged platform that combines everything necessary for the operation of the service
- client applications for all modern set-top boxes and Smart TV (Android TV, WebOS, Tizen, Apple TV and others), as well as mobile devices on iOS and Android;
- ePG support and integration with broadcast servers (including Microimpuls’ own video services);
- integration with online cinemas (START, Premier, Viju and others);
- built-in synchronization mechanisms with billing systems of the operator;

Integration with the operator ecosystem
Smarty does not exist in isolation – the platform was designed with the need to be built into the operator’s existing infrastructure. Integration with:
- video surveillance systems (output cameras in the TV interface);
- domophones (displaying the call on the tv screen);
- personal accounts of subscribers (single authorization and service management).
The subscriber receives a single entry point for all operator services, and the operator receives additional points of monetization and loyalty.
Flexible authorization and access management
The platform supports various ways of authorizing subscribers:
- iP address (binding to the operator’s network);
- by the MAC address of the device;
- by phone number (with confirmation by SMS);
- by login/password link;
- qR code (quick login to Smart TV).
The administrative panel implements a role model with separation of access rights: content managers, technical specialists and managers work in the same system, but see only those sections that belong to their area of responsibility.
Built-in monetization and apseil tools
Smarty provides the operator with a wide range of scenarios to increase the ARPU:
- flexible subscription models (monthly, annual, trial periods);
- advertising banners and targeted notifications in the interface;
- integration with online cinemas within separate subscriptions;
- smart selections and recommendations that increase engagement and average viewing time;
- upsale possibility – offering additional packages and premium content within the application.
All tools are configured without reassembling applications – through the WEB-portal, which allows you to quickly test hypotheses and change the strategy without involving developers.
Financial conditions: subscription or one-time payment
Microimpuls offers two options for working with the platform, which allows the operator to choose the most convenient model depending on the stage of business development and financial priorities:
- subscription monthly fee for the use of the platform, minimum input costs;
- one-time purchase a license for the platform with subsequent ownership.
Seamless migration from other platforms
A separate area of expertise of Microimpuls is the migration of operators from old or outdated platforms to Smarty. The company has a successful experience in transferring services from platforms adapted for Amino, Sagemcom, ADB, GDC, Infomir/MAG, Eltex, Dune, as well as other middleware solutions.
Migration occurs without stopping the service for subscribers: content, user data, subscription settings and browsing history are transferred as soon as possible. The interface on devices is updated automatically or according to an agreed schedule, subscribers do not lose access to services and do not require reconfiguration of equipment.
