{"id":1981,"date":"2021-06-23T12:21:56","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T09:21:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.microimpuls.com\/docs\/smarty\/external-vod-integration\/start"},"modified":"2026-02-10T13:54:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T10:54:20","slug":"start","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/microimpuls.com\/en\/docs\/smarty\/external-vod-integration\/start","title":{"rendered":"STARTART"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting up the START module<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The START module in Smarty is a separate license option, so before you start setting up, make sure your license includes this module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect the module&nbsp;<strong>cinema_start<\/strong>&nbsp;in the Smarty configuration in the INSTALLED_APPS section, restart Smarty and perform data migration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>python \/usr\/share\/nginx\/html\/microimpuls\/smarty\/manage.py migrate --settings=settings;<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Create a hidden tariff package that will be used to allow subscribers to access the START movie catalog (can be called \u00ab Access to the START\u00bb directory); This tariff package will be automatically included for all imported films so that the film is visible to the subscriber in the catalog. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Create a tariff package that will be used to subscribe to the movie package (can be called \u00ab START\u00bb Cinema). When you buy START movies, this package will connect to the subscriber in Smarty, and when you disable the package \u2014 you will unsubscribe on the START side. This tariff should be made visible, assign a price and frequency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To subscribe to START, you can also create several rates, which, in addition to START movies, will include channels and other services \u2014 such rates will be considered bundles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Important: all tariffs and bundles created should be coordinated with START representatives, or with Microimpuls representatives, if the contract was executed through us.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Next, you should configure integration in the administration panel in the section \u00ab General settings Client\u00bb -&gt; \u00abIntegration with the external systems API\u00bb:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3024\" height=\"1548\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microimpuls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/\u0421\u043d\u0438\u043c\u043e\u043a-\u044d\u043a\u0440\u0430\u043d\u0430-2023-05-18-\u0432-17.21.18.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4372\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Partner name \u2014 issued by START or Microimpuls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Key API \u2014 issued by START or Microimpuls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Override the URL API \u2014 the field to which you can enter the address to the START sandbox for testing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proxy URL \u2014 filled in by Microimpuls representatives in case the contract was executed through us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>6. After that, you should start the first import of films with the help of the command:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>smarty_manage cinema_start_sync_content --settings=settings.<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional parameters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><code>--remove_outdated<\/code> \u2014 when specified, the import script after the end of work deletes all films with the START handler that were not found in the START catalog, that is, it cleans old films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><code>--update_actors<\/code> \u2014 when it is specified, when importing, an additional check will be made for the presence of posters from existing imported actors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><code>--update_assets_promos<\/code> \u2014 when it is indicated, along with the import, a promo picture for assets is downloaded. <strong>Warning<\/strong>: if there is a promo, the asset is updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><code>-client_id<\/code> \u2014 the identifier of the client for which the synchronization is required. It is permissible to specify several customers. By default, synchronization is performed for all clients in Smarty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><code>--force_image_update<\/code>\u00a0if indicated, posters from imported films will be forcibly updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first synchronization can take about an hour due to the download of covers, subsequent synchronizations are faster. For regular synchronization of movies, you need to add a command call to crontab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. After the first synchronization, genres of Start films and their basic mapping on Smarty genres will be created. If you suddenly notice that the filtering of Start films by genres is incorrect, we recommend going to the section&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/smarty.example.com\/admin\/cinema_start\/startgenremap\/\">http:\/\/smarty.example.com\/admin\/cinema_start\/startgenremap\/<\/a>&nbsp;and reconfigure mapping in the right way (and you can add your genres and set up new connections for mapping). With the subsequent synchronization of films, genres will be rebounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. Next, you need to configure sending statistics about views in Start on device pages in General settings Client -&gt; Settings STB and applications -&gt; block \\\"Settings for collecting TV viewing data\\\" include checkbox \\\"Enable sending statistics to the Start server when viewing Start content\\\" (enable sending immediately on all devices through their mass editing)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1274\" height=\"134\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microimpuls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/\u0421\u043d\u0438\u043c\u043e\u043a-\u044d\u043a\u0440\u0430\u043d\u0430-2023-05-18-\u0432-17.30.52.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4376\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>9. If the internal billing Smarty is used for write-offs and tariff management, then just click the button \u00abBuy\u00bb in the interface; and with a sufficient balance, a subscription to the film will occur and it can be viewed. If not, then for testing you can connect this tariff to the subscriber through the admin and check that it is played.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11. Subscription on the START side is created with a margin of 1 day, relative to the subscription within Smarty, so that this management team is guaranteed to have time to work out and renew the movie theater subscription before it ends. Subscriber identifiers are specified in the file line by line (one in a row).
